CHEF SANGTAE PARK
CHEF SANGTAE PARK
Chef Sangtae Park has been cooking all his life. At a young age, he devoted himself to Japanese cuisine in his native coastal hometown of Busan, South Korea. Moving to the US Chicago area 17 years ago, Chef Sangtae worked and help open Mirai and Japonais restaurants as sous chef before finally opening up neighborhood restaurant Badaya in Highland Park for 6 years and then Izakaya Yume in Niles for 7 years, which focused on serving casual, approachable Japanese cuisine.
We will be opening our doors for indoor dining on July 23rd! We have made some changes to seating hours and limited seating in order to ensure a safe and healthy dining experience. Please read on for the latest updates, and make a reservation through Resy above!
We are still offering our to-go option until our reopening date. Check out or Instagram for the full info and how you can order a meal at home!
Welcome to our website! We're happy to announce that Omakase Yume is now a One MICHELIN Star restaurant in the Michelin Guide Chicago!
Our Chef’s Omakase tasting is comprised of 15-17 courses per person. Seats will be spread apart as much as possible to comply with social distancing guidelines. It is extremely important diners arrive early or on time for their seating as the meal will have to go on for others.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the reservation time. If a cancellation occurs within the 48-hour period or there is a late show/no shows, there will be a fee of $150/person applied on the card.
If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, please do so through our email or Resy only.
Due to the nature of the restaurant, there are no substitutions, and we are unable to provide a strictly vegetarian/rice-free menu. Please do inform us about any food allergies and preferences at the time of making your reservation, and not the day of your meal so that the chef has time to prepare extra ingredients.
We look forward to welcoming and serving you an unforgettable meal at Omakase Yume!
